I Ordered Some Hornworms For My Bearded Dragon In Which I Opted For *Next Day Delivery* To Ensure They Were Alive On Arrival. My Order Still Hasn't Been Fulfilled And I Reached Out By Phone To Them To No Avail. They Haven t Responded To My Message Nor Shipped My Item Which Im Sure Its Gonna Be A Hassle To Be Refunded For The Price I Paid For A Next Day Delivery That Never Came...
I have been using Josh's Frogs for 2 years, purchasing frogs, supplies, fruit flies, etc. I have called, emailed and messaged them on social media with questions. I needed fruit flies urgently during the onset of the Covid-19 mess and they got my order out in 2 days even though they were swamped. I have always found GREAT help and support here!

I've always received great products and service from this vendor. Both on orders directly from their website and through Amazon. I've purchased feeder insects, enclosures, stands, plants and dry goods. I really appreciate their contact free warehouse pickup option.
10/10 I ordered two blue phase whites tree frogs from you guys and their doing amazing!!! I will definitely come back and get some more as long as y’all give me different shades of blue ????
Josh's Frogs is the first name you hear when you are looking into the live insect/feeder trade. I have an array of amphibians that are constantly in need of crickets/mealworms/fruit flies/etc. I go through about 1000 crickets a week at this point. For the first order I placed with Josh's Frogs, I got exactly what I was looking for. The insects arrived on time, alive, and all seemed well. So, I placed a larger second order that included food, water gel, and more crickets. Well, since there is no sticker/indicator on the box that it contains live insects, my package sat in a FedEx holding facility for 3 days before arriving to me. I got a box of mostly dead crickets. In addition, the water gel had leaked all over due to a flaw in the packaging. It was a mess. Josh's Frogs refunded me for the crickets (nothing over cost, I still was responsible for the shipping charges). I decided to give them one last try the other day. Ordered on a Wednesday, usually 1-2 day turnover until it is shipped per others comments and my own experience. I expected I would have crickets by Saturday/Sunday as only Monday was a holiday. Instead, Friday rolls around and I see my order still isn't being packaged according to their records. I email them and get a response saying my order will be ready to ship by Tuesday. Almost a full week after I ordered! I request to cancel the order because I'm going to need crickets before then and I know a local shop by me sells boxes of 1000, just for a higher price. I am told that they will cancel the order on Saturday. Instead of canceling my order, knowing that I didn't need the product anymore, they shipped it anyway and did not refund me/cancel the order as they said they would. They have a disclaimer that says something to the effect of they may not be able to cancel orders if they have already been packaged/shipped, but apparently that gives them license to just not cancel orders at all. This place has horrible customer service, they are a scam. Do not buy from them. There are other, better, and cheaper alternatives out there. Do not waste your money or time with Josh's Frogs!
I placed an order and paid for FedEx Overnight ($32.92) shipping.
They immediately charged my credit card.
After five days I checked down the order and they said back an excuse of why it didn't ship.
After seven days it still didn't ship but I did receive another generic excuse of why the order didn't ship.
I ordered a male dumpy tree frog, he came overnight as stated. He is perfect, the packaging is great and he seems completely healthy and fine, I've had him for 6 hours now and he's just been chillin, happy to have him! Great company :)
I rescued 200 green tree frogs so I needed food. I found them and ordered. Every order came either all dead or half or better dead. So after EVERY order they did ho or replacement but I had to go and over pay for crickets local. I usually 2 day or faster shipments to make sure they came fast. Nothing mattered they came dead. One attempt took 3 or 4 times before I got them alive. My last order was 60.00 plus and I overnighted... Over 50% still arrived dead. My credit was 25.00 AND I HAD TO GO TO PETSMART AND BUY CRICKETS AGAIN COSTING ME 40.00 SO... DO THE MATH! I QUIT... I was patient but if i am gona throw money away i dont have i would rather burn it then give them any more of my time or money. You decide for yourself.
I've only ordered once and have yet to receive the product I ordered so I can't comment on quality of feeders, but the customer service and shipping speed will prevent me from ordering again. I ordered on Wednesday 3/17. I did read that they ship live feeders Mon-Wed, so I didn't anticipate them being shipped until the following Monday. I was running low on food for our bearded dragon and knew I would not have enough to hold us over until this shipment was delivered so I purchased a pack of crickets and some super worms from petco on Sunday. When Monday came and had gone and I still had not received shipping info, I was a tad annoyed and decided to just cancel and find a verified vendor from a Facebook group I am in. On Tuesday morning, 3/23, I called at 10:37 AM and was sent to a voicemail. I explained I needed the order canceled and left my contact information. I then went and ordered from the approved vendor. By 10:51 AM, I received notification that a shipping label was created from Josh's frogs. At 1:28 pm, I had an email from the approved vendor that the order from the other company had shipped on the same day as purchase. My voicemail was returned by Josh's frogs at 4:45 pm this evening and I was told the order could not be canceled because it loaded the truck at 4:30 pm. Seems that they only get the ball moving when you call to complain, and now I'll have entirely way too much food for the baby bearded dragon and at least a portion of the orders will spoil before consumption which is an insane waste of money.
I ordered 3 things from them. A tiger leg monkey tree frog, a 18x18x24 terrarium, and springtails. The frog showed up sick, and proceeded to die 10 days later after not ever eating a single one of the 3 different sizes of crickets I got him. The terrarium arrived broken, which was refunded because they were unable to provide a replacement, so I had to superglue it. Oh, and pretty sure the springtails never hatched either. While customer service was friendly, they were not very helpful.
Do not buy from this seller - Josh's Frogs and Amazon is protecting its sellers.
I bought this small plant through Amazon from Josh's Frog for 24.99. After less than 3 weeks, the leaves turned brown and wilted. I called the shop for a refund or replacement. Kass explained to me they only refund within 5 days after delivery. Who can know for sure if a plant will live or die within five days.? So I talked to her more and she agreed to give me a partial refund of 12.50. Later that day, she called me back and her manager has vetoed her decision. The credibility of this shop and products are highly questionable.
Worse yet, Amazon refused to post my review. This is the 2nd time Amazon refused without any VALID reasons. In the future, I won't buy any live plants from Amazon because if the seller doesn't honor their quality of products, there is no way you can get the fact review through Amazon. Also, in Amazon website, Josh's Frog has five stars, if you checked other website review, it only has three stars with many negative reviews. So always check the seller from other review sites before you buy.
I have been a customer, and I have spent hundreds of dollars for years on there website! So you would think that they would try to keep a good paying customer. I order a desert plant kit, but when I got my plants it was not even close to what they advertise on there website even though they did say it is a growers choice emailed there help desk and got nowhere with that so I called to speak to a manager or a director the next day the manager called me and just like the help desk they don't care so I told her I would not be buying anymore from Josh's Frogs and she said to me have a nice day can you believe that! That's the manager...
I am very satisfied with my dart frog kit purchase. The plants that came in the kit are absolutely beautiful, it was like Christmas when I was unwrapping them. Such a great variety and I am very pleased with them. I purchased the kit in January and I live in Wisconsin, I was concerned about the plants getting too cold, but they packaged them perfectly and are doing great. One of the LED light bulbs did not work and when I contacted customer service they worked quickly to get me a new bulb. They also offer great "how to's" for people like me who are interested in frogs but have no idea where to start. Some feedback: The only thing I would've liked to see is detailed instructions on assembling my kit. I watched videos and read about it, but would have loved an "instruction manual" with the kit. Besides that I am Very happy overall and can't wait to get some frogs in my tank! I will be a return customer at Josh's frogs!
I had bought 3 dart frogs from a merchant here. I couldn't find pinhead crickets everyone was out for a couple days. So I went on their site and saw pinhead crickets with a hefty 24 hr delivery. I paid it since i had close to $300 in frogs to feed. It took almost 2 weeks to get the crickets shipped and at my door. Then they were smaller than an ant. Numerous emails back and forth. One of them they asked if I wanted a full refund which I did but they still sent them. In the meantime 1 frog died ($70). Only good thing is they did refund the $29 over night fee they originally charged 2 weeks later. Sadly I wont be ordering anything from them... looked like a really good online alternative I was looking forward to using. Personally I've been in customer service for almost 20 years and I would be embarrassed to have my place of business ran this way.
